COMMON SYMPTOMS

Is Your Tracking Working Correctly?

Browser-only tracking is losing ground. These are the gaps server-side tracking is designed to address.

Browser Data Loss

Ad blockers and browser limits can stop events before they reach your platforms.

Short-Lived Cookies

Browser restrictions shorten cookie lifetimes and weaken attribution over time.

Too Many Browser Tags

Heavy tag loads slow pages and send more data directly from visitors’ browsers than needed.

Limited Data Control

Third-party scripts send data directly, so it is harder to control exactly what is shared.

WHAT WE DO

Server-Side GTM, Planned and Deployed Properly

We assess whether server-side tracking fits your setup, then plan the hosting, domain and data flow, and build the web and server containers to work together.

We test each destination and document the architecture so you know what runs where and what it costs to keep running.

REAL-WORLD SCENARIOS

Common Tracking Challenges We Solve

These are the situations we are most often brought in to fix.

Not sure server-side is worth it

We review your traffic, platforms and goals first, and tell you plainly if it is not a fit yet.

Choosing hosting

We explain the hosting options and running costs so you can decide with full information.

Setting up a first-party domain

DNS and certificate steps are guided or done with your access so the endpoint is truly first-party.

Web and server events not matching

We align event names and IDs so browser and server copies are deduplicated.

Consent in a server-side flow

We pass consent state through so server tags respect it.

Debugging server requests

We inspect requests end to end to find where an event stops.

FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions

Straight answers about server-side tracking. If your question is not here, send it through the form below.

Instead of every tag running in the visitor’s browser, events are sent to a server container you control, which forwards them to GA4, Google Ads, Meta and others.

Not every site does. It is most useful for paid traffic, e-commerce and sites where data quality and control matter. We assess this before you commit.

There are hosting costs for the server container that depend on traffic and provider. We explain the options and estimates before setup.

No. The web container still collects events and sends them to the server container. Learn more on our GTM setup page.

Yes, with deduplication against the pixel. See Meta Pixel & Conversion API.

It helps with certain browser-related losses, but it does not replace a correct event plan. We fix both.

Server-side tracking gives more control but does not remove consent obligations. We configure consent handling, and your legal team should confirm policy.

GTM access, hosting or cloud access for the server container, DNS access for the subdomain, and access to the destination platforms.
